Klassic Kolbert: The Gentle News

By DB on May 1st, 2009 ·

One of the benefits of having my very own fan blog about my very favorite late night television celebrity slash megagod is that I can post videos simply for my own amusement.

This is one of those times. Enjoy!

Can’t get enough gentle news! Between his eye’s and the puppy’s, it’s too much.

I’ve been watching the whole set of 8 Dana Carvey and have found myself giggling way too much. I was even going to suggest it was time for a clip from the show to be up on NFZ. I still crack up at the Madonny skit, even if Stephen is only in a small bit (but he’s dancing!!).

Death by cuteness. I think this episode also has the hilarious Bob Ross imitation by Alec Baldwin…”The Menendez brothers, they’re going away for life, let’s paint them a happy little tree…” :).

Yes, this cut has the Bob Ross imitation, but actually it was Robert Smigel doing that impression, not Alec Baldwin. Another huge comedic talent in this doomed television show.

Oops, you’re right, it was Smigel. That roster was truly amazing. It must have been a blast working there.

I’ve seen the screenshot of Stephen w/ the bird and the puppy, but never the clip. Thanks, DB! So cute.
