Amazing! Everyone who spoke was so passionate and excited about what they are doing!
When Stephen spoke about his friends and how their collective love of literature and reading helped each other, I thought about the newly formed book club on this site!
I love it when everything comes together!

You can tell that Stephen truly cares about helping these kids and being a part of this charity. It’s wonderful. And I love when he talked about how he got through high school with his group of friends who cared about books. <3
This is fantastic, thanks SO much for sharing.

I have so many 18-21 year-olds in my college Comp classes who are grossly underprepared for most aspects of college writing. I don’t know if it’s the administrators putting pressure on instructors to pass marginal students or what. I know, when I was in high school, the kids who couldn’t pass a class went on to some kind of remedial program, which was rumored to be an incredibly easy, painless option.
Maybe if we started paying instructors like professionals, we could start holding them more accountable.
Sorry, I went kind of OT there. I think this is a great program and I almost wish that it was available for first and second year college classes.

OK, clearly I didn’t understand the entire point of this new partnership before (reading comprehension skillz??) but I get it now and deem it totally fantastic! half the funding for those projects right away!!!
I’m so happy that Stephen is promoting this, because I’m pretty sure I’d never have heard about it otherwise and I like the whole system of it…makes my brain happy because it makes so much sense.

It always impresses me to see how tremendously good-hearted Stephen truly is. He is a great inspiration. What he says about the importance of education really makes me incredibly happy that I work with the kids at my school everyday. Thank you Stephen!
