Seriously. I laughed until I cried. That's the first time that's ever happened to me.

Oh No!!! The homo storm got me. *faints*

I had to pause the video at this point. I could not breathe.

I dont think they really think that the ad is supporting them. They're fully aware that they're being mocked. The true ridiculous notion that they're subscribing to is the fact that if their ad is being replayed for free on the media, no matter what the context, that constitutes a success for them.

It's that sort of political campaign conventional wisdom, cynically based on some psychological research, that really gets on my nerves. The theory goes that after a while, people will only remember the ad and not the contextual criticism of it. It only takes a couple logical steps to refute that notion in this case. You're showing the ad to an audience that's inherently skeptical of theoconservative ideas. And the immediate parody of the ad is much more memorable than the ad itself. What makes NOM think that they're changing any minds?

Not everyone on the right is irony challenged or lacking a sense of humor, but for some reason the "clueless doofuses" do seem to gravitate towards each other.

I don't know whether to cuss or laugh at this. Perhaps both will suffice.

This is positively hilarious. Keep laughing, NOM...you've got a whole new audience rooting against you, and you're even more clueless than you were before.

"There's a storm coming...a GIANT...GAY...STORM...."

Yeah...that's some serious support. *eyeroll*

The GLAAD clip is very funny. I especially liked the dancing at the end.

Although NOM's letter amuses me, I find that whole organization pathetic. They've made it way to easy to mock them. The "Gathering Storm" ad is so bad, it could be a parody of an anti-gay marriage commercial. The first time I saw it, I wondered if it was real or not. And, IMHO if you're going to use actors, you should pick people who can actually act.

Not only did NOM decide to pick-up the acronym "2M4M" without realizing what it meant, but they also didn't think to snag the domain name www.2m4m.org before someone else took it and set-up an anti- NOM, pro-gay marriage web site. I was surprised they didn't take the domain name before they advertised their new acronym.

Who knows? They may know exactly what they are doing and it's all part of some elaborate plan that I'm not getting...
