Multiple honorific Sir Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, D.F.A.

Hee! Stephen just keeps piling on the titles (h/t attica finch):

Multiple Honorific

Maybe someday he’ll realize his dream of being called President Doctor Deputy Secretary Generalissimo Stephen Esquire PhD.

Haha, I noticed that last night. He has some very admirable titles in front of his name!

Haha! I said to hubby just before the credits rolled, “Now he’ll be Sir Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, DFA” and then, almost on cue, came up his new official title on the credits. I think he’ll get a lot of mileage out of this one. Props to H.M. Queen Noor for playing along too! Although, she’s a queen — is she even allowed to receive props? Hmm…maybe royal props.

Heehee! I’m so glad you posted this. I missed the show last night. I ended up watching it online after I got home from work this evening but the credits cut off and I didn’t get to see that part. So very funny!

My dad kept telling me to go to bed, but I stubbornly stayed until the credits rolled because I had a feeling there would be a “Sir” in front of his “Dr.” and I was right! :) The crew and the audience were incredibly lucky they witnessed that moment.

Loved the two interviews on TDS and TCR last night. Fabulous women, and I wish them the best in all their endeavors.

I wonder what’s next (I’ve always thought “esquire” would sound nice…).

I think POTUS in the front of it all is what he really wants. Sh!t, I’d vote for him!

Today, however, the term may be appended to the name of any man not possessing a higher title (such as that of knighthood or peerage)

Damnit! No esquire for us. Maybe he could become a lawyer and still use it anyway.
