A few weeks ago, we discussed some of the new features that the new No Fact Zone Completists are bringing to the site. We’d like to list a few more of the features that will be coming your way, and put out one more call to the Zoners for help for one specific task. And if you read through to the end, we’ll provide a nice, tasty morsel of eye candy. Yum!
First, here is a comprehensive list of all of the new features for No Fact Zone:
Exclusive Content
- Fangirl Suit Report (VerbalTypo) – This will be a weekly feature discussing the wardrobe, costume, and possibly even props of Stephen during the week.
- Four Horsemen of the Apopcalypse – Pop culture references in ‘The Colbert Report’ (Wren) – This is our weekly wrap-up of some of the more obscure references on the show.
- The ‘Daily Show’ Toss recap (nerdygirl) – Each week, we will bring videos of all of the tosses, along with commentary about the content.
- Stephen T. Colbert Award for the Literary Excellence Book Club (Val) – We had our first edition this week, and hope to bring you one during each break.
- Six Degrees: ‘Daily Show’ edition (Tiger) – We hope to bring you lots more news about what is going on in the lives of our friends over at the ‘Daily Show’, including Jon, the correspondents, and the writers.
Klassic Kolbert
- Klassic Kolbert (TDS) (Lady Nocturne) – We will be posting a Klassic Kolbert clip every week featuring an old Correspondent video from TDS, usually on Tues/Wed (mid-week).
Technical Stuff
- Zoner Requested! – We’ve added a Previous-Next link at the top of each of the single post pages, so you can easily peruse the posts of the day without having to return to the main page.
- Tech Specs – If you’ve ever wondered how we do what we do here at No Fact Zone, go visit our new Tech Specs page (found under the “About This Site” tab in the top Navbar), featuring all kinds of nerdy details about WordPress, Plugins, our web host, and a comprehensive Table of Contents to my “Art of the Fan Based Blog” series over at Lorelle’s site.
We have one more position that we need to fill on the Completist team. Please look this task over and see if it sounds like something you would like to do for the No Fact Zone community.
- Zeitgeist Guru
This is a VERY important role on the site. We do our darndest to bring you the big stories about Stephen Colbert and ‘The Colbert Report’ as soon as they break. However, there are tons of smaller mentions and links about Stephen that, while important and interesting, are a bit too small to justify a whole post. It’s still worthy news, however, and you, as the Zeitgeist Guru, would be in charge of compiling these miscellaneous stories into 2-3 Zeitgeist posts per week. MsInterpreted, Jennie and I can help make it easier. We all research off and on throughout the day and can punt whatever we find in your direction. The main task that needs to be done is the compilation. We need someone who can make the Zeitgeist posts their sole focus as a Completist, as it is a very important function of the site.

LOVE THE UPDATES TO THE SITE!!! Especially the Pop Culture References explanations, the Book Club and the addition of the Previous and Next links!
In regards to your open position, I have a suggestion that you may or may not want to incorporate. Perhaps you could have a place on the site where users of NFZ.net (In-Completists?) could submit Colbert related news links to the Guru. After all, a Nation of heads could be better than three. ;-)

Actually we do – we have a “Contact” button up there in the NavBar, and you can send any tips you find our direction. We actually get tips every single day from Zoners about stories, and use as many as we can.
