Colbert University: Course of the Week – TCR Promos

Well, I spent all weekend trying to decide what to feature this week from Colbert University.  Every time I visit the site I end up spending an hour or two watching videos and taking quizzes.  It’s a testament to the devotion of the CU Faculty that I am able to find something new every time I visit.  And I think I may have too much free time if I’m spending hours watching videos online, but now you know what to do on your next lazy Sunday.

I think with last week being a dark week I was feeling a bit nostalgic, so let’s take a look back at how it all started.  This course features a few clips from The Daily Show and a classic interview:

Fake Promos
The Daily Show created these promos as a joke, but they ended up being the basis for the Report. As Stephen explained on The Charlie Rose Show, “This is the only show, I think, that ever started as a promo for itself.” [Whole interview here]

I’m feeling nice this week, so there is no homework.  But I definitely recommend the Charlie Rose interview, especially if you’ve never seen it.  Have a great week, Zoners!
