Shout! Factory is expanding its comedy slate in May with DVDs for The Dana Carvey Show and Designing Women: The Complete First Season.

The Dana Carvey Show streets May 12 (prebook April 14) as a two-DVD set at $24.99. The sketch-comedy show, starring the former “Saturday Night Live” cast member, debuted in 1996 and ran for seven episodes on ABC. The DVD set includes an unaired eighth episode.

Okay, I just may have to buy this now. It includes the unaired eighth episode?? Stephen described a skit from that at the first taping I attended, and it had me laughing hysterically. MsI, I’m sure the DVD will be worth every penny. Stephen + Flock of Seagulls haircut = priceless. Just thinking about that makes me giggle. You can save money in other ways.

I’ve seen that episode you speak of.. it is hilarious.. I bought some bootleg dvds on ebay over a year ago.. sound is so crappy I can’t play it in my dvd player, but with headphones I could watch it on the computer…

  4. I have the eighth episode – got all 8 shows on iTunes last summer – but there’s no Eurotrash band sketch in it. Maybe they are including cut sketches as well.
