Fan Art: Stephen Colbert Is America

By DB on March 11th, 2009 ·

Thanks to Completist Cole for forwarding me some very cute art from his friend Sean McLean, of Stephen painting a self-portrait. The pose is modeled after a famous Norman Rockwell painting. More of Sean’s work can be seen at his web comic – Underwhelmed Comic.

Thanks for the contribution, Sean! You’re a real hero!

That is so clever! Love the details — the New York Times in the bucket :)

I love the inclusion of all the little pieces of the “Nation” and I love that he’s rendering himself as the actual continent of America. XD

Very clever. I see he’s been snacking on a lot of Americone Dreams. :)

Fabulous job and great attention to detail, but what book should we assume is sitting in front of the mirror? Nice to see that “Stephen” dresses casual once in awhile:)

I would assume a first edition copy of I Am America (And So Can You!)! Keeps it open for some extra inspiration.

The iPhone! The ice cream! Oh, this is awesome.

(Is his wonky ear on the wrong side, though?)

Very nice work!

I’m a little surprised that Bush’s photo wasn’t included, but then I don’t really want to see it anyway.
