Happy, happy news! I know we like to maintain that distinction between the personal and the public here at No Fact Zone, but we’re making an exception to wish all imaginable happiness to Allison Silverman and Adrian Jones, who The New York Times reports were married last month.

Published: March 7, 2009COMEDY is serious business for Allison Silverman, an executive producer of “The Colbert Report.” And so is romance.
When she introduced herself to Adrian Jones at a Manhattan Christmas party in 2001, she was on a quest to meet three new people before evening’s end.
“I can get slightly obsessed with setting goals for myself,” said Ms. Silverman, who was 29 and writing for “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” at the time.
Though a statuesque 5-foot-11 brunette, she is a self-proclaimed nerd. Or as Stephen Colbert put it: “She’s got the cheekbones of Faye Dunaway, the hair of Bathsheba, and the mind of Jonathan Swift had he mated with the Cookie Monster.”
The combination made a strong impression on Mr. Jones, a theater set designer living in Brooklyn who was then 30….

I’d have said “congratulations” earlier in the post, but whenever I want to say that to a new bride, Gilda starts playing in my head. So, instead, I’ll just repeat my fondest and sincerest wishes for their happiness and carry on with my evening with a smile on my face. For all the hours of delight Allison has given us, I wish her an exponentially greater return.

What an absolutely fabulous story. This certainly gives me hope in finding the right one…and serves as a good reminder that I’ve got to put some work into finding him! I love her dresss…and did anyone catch the beautiful clip in her hair in the photo of her and Stephen (photo 4 of 9)?
I love this quote from Stephen which was only included in the slide show: “Among comedians, she’s the most human. She’s not hardened. She has a real heart, and she’ll be able to face every challenge with heart and laughter.” I think Stephen just melted my heart.
