I voted for the interview due to the fascinating topic and a great it-getter. Maybe Stephen handed him the punch line for the last joke after he was nice enough to credit Stephen for subversive Wikipedia activity:)

Voted for the interview, because I felt that was a very intriguing title for a book. And I couldn't believe people considered trees as a threat! :)

The Cramer segment was also funny. He was so blustery and angry and defensive and flustered when juxtaposed with the adorable graphics of the adorable puppies and kittens and the distractingly huge red button he was cajoled into pressing by Stephen every few sentences.

The theoretical/hypothetical wag of the finger to Hannity was also brilliant!

I had to vote for the Cramer segment because the puppies and kittens were just such an hilarious juxtaposition with the things being said (and were *adorable*! lol!)

But I really really liked the interview too, what a clever laid-back it-getter of a guest. I too loved that Stephen handed him the punchline to the last joke. I enjoyed their rapport, and topic.

Also, the flaming portfolio (+ outtake!) was great! lol, more prop humor! :)

recaptcha: Arouse and
entertain and intellectually satisfy and cause admiration and ... (I could go on and on, listing the things Stephen does!)

btw, I loved the tie/shirt/suit combo tonight! :)

It was hard to choose between Cramer with the puppies and kittens graphic behind him and Tip/Wag. I ultimately went with Tip/Wag. I'm really enjoying all this thorough roasting of Limbaugh. And the Dutch God line was really funny too. I also enjoyed the interview. It's fun when the guests really get it. And the swing-set bit made me giggle because we bought one for our kids 2 years ago and my husband and one of his buddies spent a good 8-9 hours putting it together. It was warm and the windows were open so I was getting a huge kick out of all the swearing going on outside.

Someone please send Limbaugh and Hannity some aloe vera plants, they're going to need something to put on that burn. That was beautiful.

...send Stephen an aloe vera plant while you're at it, looks like he almost lost some eyebrows there.

I had to go with the interview as well. It seemed like Johnson was the least bit phased by the character, and he really just made his point. I loved it - Johnson even got the last word, and it was wonderful - how often does that happen?

All around great week for the show. Keep it up, crew and Colbert!

I voted for the interview both for its very interesting content (history geek that I am) and for the easy rapport they had. Tip/Wag was utterly brilliant and you can't go wrong w/ puppies and kittens - shades of "Gentle News" there, it's impossible to listen to finance talk with puppy romping going on, hilarious! Finally, the rant about Limbaugh was just perfect.

I loved how flustered Jim Cramer was during his interview as a result of the puppies and kittens and the Bears and Balls modified button. I have to admit, I'd have to go back and rewatch his interview to actually soak in what he said because I was too busy laughing at all the distractions.

I have to agree that the shows have been particularly strong lately, most especially in it's almost searing humor at times on various topics. You can tell there has been a great deal of biting wit that perfectly neutralizes whatever story is being commented on.

A HUGE Tip of the Hat to everyone at The Report who's been working so very hard to make us laugh during such stressful times. Kudos!
