For those of you who have already blown through Season 1 of ‘Strangers With Candy’ on Hulu.com, now you have Season 2 on Hulu to view and enjoy! I’m a huge fan of Season 2, as it contains my very favorite episodes, ‘Hit and Run’, and ‘The Blank Stare [Parts 1 and 2]‘. I’ve embedded ‘Hit and Run’ for your enjoyment – it was the first show of ‘Strangers With Candy’ that I ever saw, and it’s still my favorite to this day. Chuck pretty much openly weeps the entire episode, and the flip that Jerri sports is my very favorite Jerri hair ever.

This is very exciting…even when you own the DVD’s, it is nice to see stuff available online. My favorite episode comes from season 2 as well, but it is “The Blank Page”. I will never forget the first time I saw it, my roommate was sleeping and Jerri was trying to pronounce “CAAATTTT”. I am pretty sure I woke my roommate laughing so darn hard.

The scene that mimics The Miracle Worker absolutely positively *kills* me with laughter every time. I do love “Hit and Run” too though.

I’m ashamed to say that Helen Keller humor is a surefire hit with me. The SWC sequence and the opening of the Colbert museum both made me laugh like crazy.

my favorite epi from season 2 is the goodbye guy, when noblet is dressed as a harlequin clown, and points at the sky, saying, “my daddy will never die. do hear me God-never!”
but, then again, i am a little strange.

This is my favorite episode too. I laughed really hard the first time I saw that. I got into Strangers With Candy around July 2007 when I saw a few episodes. I decided to rent the movie and have loved it ever since.

OT: SWC’s Tammy Littlenut was on the Valentine’s episode of 30 Rock, which was HILARIOUS.

I think she was just in the one episode, “Feather in the Storm” as, go figure, the Skinny Girl. But yeah, I remember being really shocked seeing her there the first time I watched the show.

So wonderful to see this again–it’s up there with To Be Young, Gifted and Blank as one of my favorite episodes. Also, the “ending dance” for Hit and Run is my all time favorite. I constantly marvel at the effort the set decorators put into this show–all the stuff on the walls, etc. The costumes are so perfect too–especially that coat Paul is wearing when he gets into the car at the end. Good stuff.

Stephen even noted on the DVD commentary how he would walk down the school halls between takes and would be struck by the detail put into the fliers on the walls, etc.
P.S. I love the dance sequence at the end of this episode as well!

I find that there is nothing so hilarious as Noblet weeping. “Eyes to the back of the room!” This is my favorite episode also, with Blank Page running a close second. I have the complete SWC set on DVD, but I’m pleased to see them coming out on Hulu also. I keep hoping that Exit 57 might follow suit.
