that finger thing made me think of Chris Martin from Coldplay taping up his hands for Make Trade Fair. maybe it was a message that I just don’t get. kind of like how I still don’t GET those foolish Sarah Palin glasses.

I voted for the first bit about the news. a heavy dose of Bush comedy right before it goes out of style is good.

in the bit about the stadiums, though, I loved the “Borrrrrringgggg” so much I went back and watched it again.

Seeing the band-aid on Colbert’s finger–especially when he didn’t make any reference to it–made me think of Les Nessman from WKRP in Cincinnati. :D
And he was *definitely* channelling Jo Anne Worley from Laugh-In with his high-pitched “boooor-ing” …yes, I am old. :P

…land-fish…ahahaha!

And may I say that David Gregory is huuuge…O.o

I missed a chunk of this episode, so I’m gonna have to (re)watch online tonight, because my cable channel replayed the TOC of the previous episode, and after the opening graphic, immediately cut to Helen Thomas in the gotcha journalism segment. :( Oh well…

it was cool to see shepard fairey on the show, although i think he has passed out of the realm of being a “criminal” or “disobedient” now that he does ads for saks, shown here; http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/08/fashion/08ROW.html

i was kinda sad to see this, and think stephen was right-on when he said shepard was rollin in it.

I wondered about the band-aid too. I expected he’d say something about it, because I figured if he didn’t want to make an issue of it, it probably wouldn’t be bright blue!

He’s going to have to add another bit of tape to the body outline on the studio floor.

I haven’t seen the show yet, but I’m giggling over the fact that Stephen dissed the New York Mets and their extremely lame 2009 Citi Field Inaugural Patch. Hahaha… seriously, I could’ve designed something better than that.

I had to go with the Shepard Fairey interview. I thought it was really cool to meet the guy who did those Obama posters that are, literally, everywhere, not to mention the graphic with Stephen at the very end that had “OBEY” written under it. That may be my new gravitar. Tee hee…

Gotcha journalism was the best part for me. I just love to watch Helen Thomas and Divid Gwegowy bring the hammer down on people. I have huge respect for people like them.

Wow, haven’t seen Monkey on the Lam in a while. I gotta say I like the “Monkey” graphic, as well, though there’s nothing quite like watching a monkey ride a lam and shoot off a handgun.

Shepard Fairy is so cool.

I wonder what happened to Stephen’s finger. I noticed a little blue band-aid.
