AP reviews “Colbert & Colmes”

Either it’s a slow news day, or the Associated Press missed Stephen Colbert and The Colbert Report as much as we did. From the AP:

On Monday’s “The Colbert Report,” Colbert introduced the Fox News commentator as his new co-host.

It was the first episode of the Comedy Central show following the holiday break, and Colbert unveiled a completely new format, dubbing the show “Colbert & Colmes.” The new design featured a “C & C” graphic and a chair behind the desk for Colmes (albeit one a foot or two shorter than Colbert’s).

Reached by phone Tuesday, Colmes had returned to his human self.

“It was very well done,” said Colmes, who is developing a new weekend show for Fox News.

As to how working with Colbert compares to working with Hannity, Colmes said: “Both are extremely gracious, although I feel a lot taller sitting next to Sean Hannity.”

Alan Colmes sure was a good sport, I have to say.

I like the new feature of being able to actually capture images as well as text when using the quoting feature in WordPress — it’s like there’s a new little surprise on NFZ every day.

I wonder if it will do my laundry too…

Capturing images as well as text? If you’re referring to adding the photos in with the text in the articles, sadly, it’s still a multi-step process; it’s just that there are now two fewer steps than before (which is why I, for one, didn’t always have time to include them in my posts). It *is* easier, though, which I love!

Yes, WordPress 2.7 is very nice for adding media – hopefully we’ll be doing that more often now. Plus it means that our pictures are much safer and we won’t lose a big chunk of pictures if a directory is accidentally deleted. Which it was once. Grrr …
