Sing along to instrumental versions of “Colbert Christmas” favorites

Stephen Colbert and Elvis Costello

Have you been wanting to sing a Colbert-inspired solo at your latest holiday gathering? Or perhaps just wanted to record something for YouTube with Stephen Colbert’s music but your own voice? Some very inspired Zoners have shared some great audio files with me that you might want to listen to. It always amazes me some of the creative projects that the Colbert Nation comes up with, and these two song renditions are no exception.

First, we have the beautiful and talented Lee Quick (aka Zoner “Flatpoint Grief Counselor” and contributor to Colbert University), who has shared her instrumental version of “Cold, Cold Christmas” with us. Go check out her web site to hear her unique take on the song.

Secondly, a very talented Zoner named Scott Wade, who also happens to be a musical student at Wheaton College, has created a beautiful piano instrumental version of “There Are Much Worse Things To Believe In”, that’s just lovely. I’m so thankful that he shared this with me.
