Episode 4155 – R.A.P.S. (Awesome!)

Tonight’s show was exactly what I needed. It was light and silly. Here are a few of my favorite moments:

  • Can you make Tang from dehydrated flamingos?
  • Me.N.A.
  • Plenty of brains next door.
  • I am making a good point, aren’t I?
  • Hey, your wife seems like a really nice guy.
  • I’m not making this stuff up. I’m imagining it.
  • Radical Lace and Subversive Knitting
  • To Babs: You are hot.
  • I would love to be on your show but I don’t like accomplishing things.

EDIT:

We’re going to try the poll again. Please comment if you cannot see it. I’ve got the ear of someone from Polldaddy, so hopefully we can solve this problem. We were also having a very odd problem of two people not being able to get into the site in any capacity last night, although one was able to get in this morning.

Ah, the joys of webmastering.

since I can’t watch at night anymore, these posts have become very bizarre and cryptic!

I know how you feel – every once in a while, I seriously have to get to bed at a decent hour. And for the whole next day, the blog makes no sense to me at all. For example, I missed Monday’s show the first time, and had no idea why everyone was talking about Kanye West. Thank goodness for the Completists who help me keep the blog chugging along.

Was it just me or was Babs flirting with Stephen?

Welcome! I love to see lurkers come out of the woodwork.

I don’t know if I would say that Barbara was flirting with Stephen (well, maybe a little), but it always amazes me how Stephen has the ability to turn smart, educated, professional, powerful women into giggling, blushing school girls. (See: Arianna Huffington, Diane Sawyer, etc.)

Two references to the Berlin Wall in one intro!

Subtle callback to eating Bobby (“taste for human flesh”).

An unusually silly (but good!) episode.

  6. The interview was charming and engaging. And come clean you guys! Who voted for the GOODNIGHT?? That was horrible – YUCK!

I’ll admit to voting for the ‘good night’ – only because he got me. Good.

I watch on Comedy Central’s full episode player and it skips segments regularly enough that when he said “Tonight!” my first thought was “Gee golly! This gosh darn site messed up again and I missed the Good Night!” (I’m paraphrasing) So, when he admitted it was really the end segment, I had to laugh at being punked.

OMG. Barbara Walters is such a secret Stephen fan — it was so adorable how she asked him to autograph her DVD. Bummer, though, that he ripped all the plastic off the front! Haha!

And please oh please let Stephen appear on “The View”. Can you even imagine how hilarious that would be? I’m laughing already…

NOW all of those comments make perfect sense!

eerily enough the girl in the chair over there is knitting. should I call her in for suspicious behavior?? eerily enough again last night a spider was crawling on my arm while I was on the computer!! something shifty is going on here!

PS. Stephen on the View plz! grabby hand!

As much as I laughed at the space Spider I voted for the WORD as it was more incisive and brilliant (as they usually are).

    Wigfield quote alert!

I was waiting to see if someone else noticed the Wigfield quote. When I heard it on the show, I just HAD to make it the poll title.

when I heard it I yelled “Wigfield!”

…then I heard Paul saying it in my head. I have to wonder if it’s Paul’s line… Paul said Stephen steals things all the time. ho ho ho

    Don’t see poll. *shrugs*

Last night’s episode was very funny! I laughed pretty hard at a lot of it. The spider thing was hilarious! So was the Nailed ‘Em segment. The tank cozy was the best! LOL! And a fun interview to top it all off. Thanks for the much-needed laughs TCR team!

  12. ColbertGirl27 says:

Is Stephen genuinely apprehensive about going on The View? Was that Stephen or “Stephen” talking? It’s not often that Stephen or “Stephen” is afraid of anything:)

Regardless, that was a cute moment when he said he feared they would eat him alive.

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up 0

    • Flatpoint Grief Counselor says:

hmmm… Stephen loves women, and he loves attention. Maybe that was his way of saying that there’s no point in him appearing on a show where “Stephen” is *not* the most ignorant person in the room.
