BURLINGTON, Vt.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Here it is, America! Our biggest, baddest, most holiday-patriotic Scoop Shop menu item ever: Stephen Colbert’s Holiday Sundae Spectacular! It’s a scoop of your favorite B&J’s flavor firmly on the right, with brownie chunks, hot fudge, whipped cream and a liberal amount of nuts!

At Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops across the country we’re celebrating the holiday season with “A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!”, a new holiday special DVD out in stores now from our favorite late-night celeb-turned-flavor. In conjunction with Comedy Central, The Colbert Report, and in keeping with the holiday spirit Ben & Jerry’s is proud to donate 5,000 scoops of ice cream to Feeding America to help in the efforts to feed the hungry.

Then, the Great Sundae Challenge is on! When Stephen’s sundaes reach 5,000 sold, we’ll donate another 5,000 scoops to Feeding America. It’s a two-for-one holiday miracle! You can track how many sundaes are sold at www.benjerry.com and at www.comedycentral.com. Hurry in because the offer ends Dec 24th.

Sounds yummy! Unfortunately there aren’t any Ben and Jerry’s shops around where I live. :( If we want Ben and Jerry’s, we have to buy the pints.

    “Holiday Sundae?!” It’s “Christmas Sundae!”

Haha, excellent observation! Maybe Ben and Jerry’s isn’t as much of an it-getter as we thought!?

That was my absolute first thought when I read it.

and when I go to Benjerry.com, there’s no word on the Holiday Sundae. Am I missing it?

Maybe Holiday is meant to include Christmas, Kwanzaa, Muharram, Hanukkah, Solstice…

Shouldn’t using Americone Dream be mandatory?

    • dodgerblu says:

my scoop shop doesn’t serve Americone Dream :/ I complain about it every time I go in, I’m kind of surprised they don’t carry some just to shut me up!

that sound delicious! it’s a perfect reason to visit the scoop shop…although I’ll wait a few days until I’m sure they’re ready (like, when they have those online counters up.)

  5. Miss J says:

No Ben & Jerry’s near me :( Unfortunate because that kind of sounds good.

  6. Katherine says:

omg…the nearest scoop shop is so far away though…but I will totally make that journey…for Colbert…*fist jab*

  7. sleepy says:

Oh, that’s awesome. And I would totally get that if there were any Ben & Jerry’s in this country.

    • SusieBlack says:

I would get some too, but there are no Ben & Jerry’s in this country either…the American South. Heaven knows this flat, red hot place could use some more ice cream shops. But maybe they’ll package a few pints for our grocery stores because no holiday would be properly acknowledged without Stephen Colbert’s Sundae Spectacular.
