I do hope to get you all an Episode Guide soon, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t weigh in on the upcoming Battle of the Egomaniacs between Stephen Colbert and Kanye West. This has the potential to be epic (if the Colbert Nation hasn’t shot itself in the foot by pre-ordering the iTunes downloads) and, given Kanye’s well-documented … self-confidence, I’m eagerly awaiting the outcome of this battle royale. Let’s face it, if there’s anyone out there whose ego might challenge Stephen’s, it’s gotta be Kanye.
Here’s the segment from last night’s show, should you need a reminder of your downloading mission (or, you know, if you just enjoy font humor as much as I do):
You have your orders, Nation! Wednesday, at 5pm EST, head to iTunes and download A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All. There’s only one way to stop Kanye’s arrogance, and that’s with Stephen’s arrogance!
(Oh, and lest anyone be worried, I’m thinking things are all well between Stephen and Ye in real life; here’s a photo of the two of them following this year’s Emmy Awards.)
Can you order the album twice? It’s for a good cause so it might be worth it:) If I can’t buy it twice, I’ll see if I can get a couple of my friends to order it. I’m hoping for epic!
