I recently went to the Colbert Nation Web site and let myself get lost in the video archives. When I stumbled across this episode, I made a mental note of it because I knew I wanted to share it with y’all in my next Klassic Kolbert post. Every video is fantastic and there are a lot of notable moments in this episode. My favorite segment is “The De-Deification of the American Faithscape.” I just love watching Stephen recite the Nicene Creed and Bobby explain the Unitarian Church.
Please enjoy!!! Videos after the cut!

Excellent pick, Jenny. I remember how much I loved this when it first aired – the word, who hates who, pick your apocalypse… and Confess to Stephen. All excellent segments. (and the interview was good too. lol.)

Yeah this is a great episode. I love it when Stephen talks to members of the “religious left” or whatever you want to call it…his character gets so bemused. I’d be interested in seeing Jim Wallis on the show; I was kind of disappointed he was never on to promote The Great Awakening. Ah, well, maybe next book!

I agree! Jim Wallis is a very interesting man whom I would love to see interact with Stephen. He did appear on TDS to promote his book.

The way Stephen looked at Bobby during the Unitarian segement was the same look he had right before he ate Bobby. Haha!
I loved the last bit of the confession segment;)
