Soundtrack EP for “A Colbert Christmas” available on iTunes November 25th

For those of who who can’t get enough of those wonderful songs from “A Colbert Christmas – The Greatest Gift of All!“, and you have an iPod or iTunes, you need to log into iTunes on Tuesday, November 25th. The wonderful people at Apple who pretty much already own most of my soul already (the part that’s not owned by Google anyway) are offering the EP for $7.99 which includes all of the songs from the special PLUS “Cold, Cold Christmas”. You may have heard me mention this song before, and it’s worth every penny of the EP price.

    yay, have pre-ordered!
I have never pre-ordered anything on iTunes before (I just signed up for an account earlier this month). will the songs just appear in my “library” or will I have to actively retrieve them?
I can’t wait! if my last.fm account starts functioning again these will shoot to the top of my charts I’m sure!

My steadfast refusal to touch anything related to iTunes has never been challenged as much as it is right now. Seriously, why do they have to tease me with the inclusion of A Cold, Cold Christmas? Gah!

Just out of curiosity, can I ask why you refuse to use iTunes?

I’d have to say mostly due to an admittedly somewhat irrational loathing of everything Apple. I suspect that eventually I’ll break down, but dagnabbit, I don’t wanna!

iTunes songs I’ve downloaded in the past won’t play on a reg. MP3 player (Sandisk) and they [Apple] won’t let you convert it to a compatible format. Is there a way?

I got my dvd delivered yesterday and you’re right about “Cold Cold Christmas” being awesome and his voice sounds great in it….I’M SERIOUS! ;)

If you burn the songs onto a CD, then rip them from the CD back onto your computer using Windows Media Player or something, they should then be in a format compatible with an mp3 player.

That’s the method I use too, and the CDs serve as another back up to all the music I’ve bought that way (just in case I fry my computer).

I’ve been wondering about people getting their DVD’s early. I preordered it through the no fact zone amazon link and I figured it would be there by 25th. Then I started hearing people getting them early and I got excited but I just got an email from Amazon yesterday saying my estimated arrival date was December 1st! D:

me too! December 1st! I can’t figure it out. I ordered with another item (to get free shipping) so I was wondering if that’s what did it. perhaps our orders were just put in an unlucky pile!

Thanks for the itune tips, Gaia & Lulu, I’ll guess I can burn a cd, can’t hurt having one extra anyway.
