Episode 4151 – R.A.P.S. (Awesome!)
By
It’s nice to take a break from the barrage of “Colbert Christmas” promotion to simply enjoy an episode of ‘The Colbert Report’. Here’s some of my favorite lines from tonight’s episode:
- After all, Romney failed, and he won’t go away.
- You steer it with your balls.
- Crazier than naming someone Jean Valjean?
- That means my Princess Diana’s plates really are worth a fortune.
- There is no God but Alan, and more profits are his prophet.
- Next, he’ll head up the Department of Homeland Security with Ross and Rachel.
- What … sure … yes … no.
- Me and some of my frat buddies were snorting cocaine for charity. We did not inhale.
- This is getting into an area … um … yes. [And Huzzah! for the return of Butt Classy]
[Editor's Note: I find it amazingly funny that No Fact Zone is the #1 Google search result for "Butt Classy".] - You are so intelligent and handsome as well.
- Just move to a fear-based economy. Go off of the dollar and go onto just s***ting your pants.

The vetting, by far! I was cracking up laughing that whole time, the interviewer did a great job playing along.

The Vetting Part II was so freakin’ hilarious. And yeah, I love how the vetting expert played along so well!

The vetting segments were awesome! I love as well how the interviewer played along. I agree with Tiger. Classic Colbert moments! This is going in the archives. Please let this be in the Colbert University too.

Stephen’s past rivals that of Andrew Jackson;)

(A little off topic)
On his deathbed, someone asked Andrew Jackson if there was anything he attempted but failed to accomplish. “Black Maria [a horse],” he said. “I tried, but I could not beat her.” A fascinating bit of Jacksonian history.

I didn’t know the overt the top un-PC character had a name – Ching Chong Ding Dong! That’s really pushing the envelope on that one… Unrestrained hilarity there.

I voted hands down for the vetting (unintentional pun?), but I loved that one line during the final interview that DB so graciously included:
“You are so intelligent and handsome as well.”
Haha. So true, but I don’t know what made him state it at that exact moment. Stephen was taken aback…then rebounded… and I loved it.

Vetting Part 1 was pretty funny… but Part Deux turned the funny up to 11. I nearly lost it when they brought up Ching Chong Ding Dong. Just a shame they didn’t list the really good Prescott side effects!

I know! I was so waiting for the interviewer to say “teriyaki lung” and “spontaneous gypsy scarf”.

LOL! Great Spinal Tap reference there! Yes, the part 2 of the vetting was absolutely hilarious and full of classic “Stephen” moments. I agree that the interviewer did extremely well with it. I don’t know how he held it together and didn’t laugh! Especially when he was listing the Prescott side effects. LOL! I enjoyed the interview with Lewis as well. Interesting man.

arg! I was watching the episodes on a site that would embed them all, but apparently Viacom has removed the embed option…?
That’s what I get for studying abroad at an overbearing, don’t do anything funny with the internet like use that program to pretend you’re from the US university abroad. :P

I wish there were, like, nine more parts of that vetting segment. That must have been so fun for Stephen… basically a rehash of all that it ridiculous about his character. And the guy doing it was really good.
