Ratings soar for “Indecision 2008: America’s Choice”

RATINGS ALERT: “Indecision 2008: America’s Choice” Is Most-Watched and Highest-Rated Election Special In Comedy Central History

Last night’s live, primetime election special, “Indecision 2008: America’s Choice,” was the highest-rated and most-watched election special in the history of COMEDY CENTRAL’s Award-winning “Indecision” political coverage, drawing 3.1 million total viewers.

Co-anchored by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, the culmination of the “Indecision 2008″ coverage of the presidential campaign was up +45% in total viewers vs. “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s” “Election Night 2004: Prelude to a Recount” and +60% among Persons 18-49.

The Emmy® and Peabody® Award-winning series, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “The Colbert Report,” recently posted record-setting numbers with each series earning its most-watched and highest-rated month in October, averaging 2.1 million total viewers and 1.5 million total viewers respectively. The October 29 appearance by now President-elect Barak Obama was the most-watched episode in “Daily Show” history with 3.6 million total viewers. “The Colbert Report” also had its most-watched episode on October 29 with 2.4 million total viewers.
