Unfortunately, PollDaddy is acting up tonight, so I haven’t been able to create a poll that actually works. Please feel free to begin commenting on the episode. I’ll add the poll to this post as soon as I can.
As usual, I loved everything about this episode. My favorite segment was the interview with David Simon. It always makes me happy when Stephen shows off his awards. I’m so proud of Stephen and all of the writers at The Colbert Report for their Emmy win! I hope there are many more to come.
Edit: Yay! PollDaddy is working again! Now we can vote.
I loved the whole episode! I could not help but laugh along with the crazy laughter! the Word was awesome as well! I love that middle segment because everything gets so pleasantly truthy! and finally, what a sharp interview. (and a sharp Emmy as well!)
(Colbert complete-ists, I hope you got all that at the end…update those episode guides and all…hehe)
all in all, I was feeling kind of upset this evening…and tonight Colbert did a great job of cheering me up!

I almost wondered if “Colbert complete-ists” was code for Zoners:)

I’m pretty sure that was a shout-out to DB and the minions. :D That’s so awesome. Congrats everyone!
That guy was an interesting, but very low-key interview.

The laughing bit was genius, satire at its finest! I LOVED it and it went on forever. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. The only thing that was missing was it turning into more Noblet-esque crying over the demise of the repubs.

Ditto vigwig. That was the best part. Then the interview.

I don’t know about everybody else, but I thought “Stephen” endorsing Barack Obama was pretty monumental.
I thought this entire episode was brilliant and I enjoyed the number of times that David Simon was taken with Stephen’s quick wit:) Well played, well played.

Oh how I love The Word…let me count the ways. I just love it when the bullet pops out as a character in addition to Stephen: “Someone knock on wood, I have no arms!” Loved it, loved it, loved it!

I loved The Word too! It was classic “Stephen” and it so funny! I also enjoyed the hysterical laughter and the interview. Simon was also behind Homicide: Life in the Street which was one of my favorite shows. I haven’t seen his more recent offerings because we don’t have HBO. I need to rent the videos, but have yet to find the time to do it.
Oh and I LOVED the shout-out to NFZ!!!! Yay!! :-)

That “Colbert complete-ists” ending was classic. Nice shout-out to NFZ and the “complete” episode guides! It was also hysterical.
I thought The Word was nicely done–only “Stephen” could endorse a candidate for president just for the attention it would get him.

In addition to everything folks have already mentioned (how great was that laughter?! and the audience going crazy when “Stephen” said “I Endorse Barack Obama”?), I just want to add something for us formatting-huggers out there – The Word bullet, “This Is What I Look Like In Bold”!
I think the audience missed the joke ’cause they were still laughing for the last joke, but I thought it was adorable of The Bullet! Very Garfield-like. And perhaps the very first time The Bullet referred to itself in the first-person?
I’ll stop nerding out now.

OH and during the interview: “That’s what got me this, motherf–er!”
Seriously, what is it about Stephen cursing that always gets me?

His cursing is always very deliberate rather than haphazard. Sexy!
