HuffPo blogger Rachel Sklar to livetwitter the New Yorker event tonight!

Heads up! Friend of the blog and Huffington Post blogger Rachel Sklar did a very wonderful job with livetwittering the event this afternoon during the New Yorker Festival, the one featuring ‘Colbert Report’ executive producer Allison Silverman.

She is also covering one of the main events of the festival, via Twitter. Rachel will twitter all the juiciest bits from the “Stephen Colbert talks with Ariel Levy” event, scheduled for tonight at 7:30 EST.

Rachel rocks! And for many more reasons too numerous to mention, today she is totally my hero. So go follow her on Twitter already!

Do you know if there will be any video on this thing? I don’t actually know what’s going on… is it just an interview or what?

The New Yorker has been putting up some videos, so it’s probable that there will be video at some point. No streams that I’ve seen.

It’s basically an interview with an audience, yes. And Rachel is twittering the Q&A.

Ooh, that’s good. Where are the videos that are already up? I searched the site and couldn’t seem to find them. I’d like to know where to look when his video does come out.

Oh this is too cool! I’m having such a good time reading Rachel’s Twitterfeed. I love what he said about Papa Bear: “He trumpets his power while in the same breath declaring his victimhood.” This was good too, “I’m not saying truth to power, I’m saying f*&k you to power.” Great stuff!
