‘Colbert Report’/'Daily Show’ is taping from Oct 13-16 – Tickets are becoming available

By DB on October 4th, 2008 ·

It looks like the scheduled break for ‘The Colbert Report’ and ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ has been cancelled, and both shows will be taping from October 13-16. Both shows have been releasing tickets all evening, so check frequently if you’re available to go to a taping next week.

I hope this doesn’t mean he’ll be cancelling his Symphony Space appearance on the 15th. *waves ticket*

darn, that is entirely possible. that show starts at 7 PM I see, and that is definitely during the time when the show tapes. yikes. let us know how that works out…

in addition: everyone, if you care about tickets, keep checking the colboard topic and contribute if you see something! also, if you are looking for a certain date, you should ask there and I’ll send a PM if I see it open!

Nooooooooooooooooo, I hope not. This would be the 2nd time I’ve lost out there (1st time was at the Ulysses Reading). Maybe he’ll tape earlier or show up at Symphony Space later.

They were scheduled for a break from Oct 13-16? During the week of the final Presidential Debate? Who tried to finagle that?

(Rob Kutner, I’m looking at you and your succah-building-lulav-and-etrog-shaking bum, you!)

j/k I’m building one too ;)

Actually, I know that break has been scheduled since at least May, from what I understand. It’s just very recently come to light (like, yesterday) that the show would be filming the week of the 13th. Also, yesterday is the first day that tickets started coming available for that week. And yes, I’m glad they rethought the break. :)

UGH! If only I lived closer to NYC.

Those dates are just a few days after my birthday. *grumble grumble*

OT, but the featured video at the side, “Right away”, is one of my all-time absolute favorite bits from the Report. I’d completely forgotten about it.

Thank-you for the long, loud laughs.
