Good God, is it Sunday night yet?!

I am so ready for the Emmy awards. So bring it on, already! I’m a ball of nerves hoping that Stephen and Jon do well this year. And hoping to dear God that Stephen doesn’t lose to Don Rickles.
But until then, let’s all just watch this over and over and over and over. Mostly the last 30 seconds or so, one of the most brilliant moments in Emmy history ever. I was wondering how they were going to top “I lost to Barry Manilow!”, but they did it. Dear Lord, they did it. I wonder how in the world they’re going to top this? (No pressure, guys.)

This video never gets old! Stephen, Jon, and Steve are absolutely amazing together. I love what Stephen and Jon did the year before, too. “Kneel before your god, Babylon!” hahaha!
I’m excited and nervous about Sunday night. I can’t wait to see Jon and Stephen present together, but I will be VERY unhappy if Don Rickles beats Stephen for the Emmy.
Good luck to Stephen, Jon and all the folks at TDS and TCR! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you on Sunday night.

Some how singing with Don Rickles just doesn’t seem like a great consolation prize.
But he’s up against Jon, too, (for hosting the Oscars). Isn’t he?
Good luck, Stephen… I’m praying to the golden idol that you win – and something for the writers and Jimmy, too!

Maybe he could insult people with Don Rickles? …. Nah, that’s no fun either. Stephen is so wonderful in defeat, but dang it, I really hope this is his year.

Will they be streaming the emmy’s online? I’ll be stuck at work, so I hope you guys will be live blogging. Fingers and toes crossed for Stephen although if Rickles wins Stephen could feed off the comedy “resentment” for weeks.

Vigwig, we will keep you up to date. You are a valued member of the Nation. We will all be watching. I know the pain you feel. I was lucky to get all of Sunday off. I normally work on Monday, but not tomorrow. Can you believe that the Emmys are tomorrow? Emmy please. Grabby hands.

Thanks TruthPower, it’s been a truly hectic week at work [I work on Wall Street, enough said!!]. I’ll be checking the NFZ and the internets for the good news.
All the Nation is pulling for Stephen today – he is always a ray of light in the gloom and doom, may he emerge victorious.

I can’t wait for Stephen to win so he can say “take that/in your face Jon Stewart!” Winning and showing off to Jon is going to be awesome.
In one of the previews for the emmy’s on abc, showed the three-way hug.

Gah. Stephen and his writers and Jimmy HAVE to win this year. They’ve deserved it for so long and they’ve gotten practically every other award (and goodness, all of the cool prizes and awards Stephen’s gotten on his own), why not an Emmy?
I agree with the original post- I’m starting to get really anxious and it’s not until tomorrow night. GAH!

I see Stephen. I’ve started up my Doritos labeling project again in honor of Stephen with the Emmys coming up. I can’t wait to watch this! Stephen and Jon deserve awards. Stephen the most ofcourse. I’d love to see The Office get more Emmys this year too. All awesome shows.

This video of proof enough! Listen carefully to the jesters 3: brilliant entertainment needs to be entertaining. Rickles won’t be back year after year, and the legend has paid his dues to appear, while OUR heroes get to have a little fun and poke jest at the industry…year after year. Your darn right Vigwig, Stephen will make humor hay from reflecting on his loss to Rickles. That’s showbiz. When our boys get these awards, they might not be coming back as presenters…and that could depress the show’s future ratings, certainly.

I am looking forward to seeing those videos that play when they announce the nom. for best writer. Last years was great with all the writers beating up on “Stephen”.
