Episode 4117 – R.A.P.S. (Awesome!)

By Jenny with a Y on September 18th, 2008 ·

OMG! I loved everything about this episode! I was happy to see the segment about John McCain, and “Powerless” was excellent. The captions they used during the segment about Brad were too funny. “God-awful re-enactment footage” was my favorite.

I’ve already been to the Colbert Nation web site and seen the Rock Band 2 video that was highlighed at the end of the show. It is awesome! I really want to invest in a gaming system now.

Hahaha! Love the poll title!

The interview tonight makes me want to see Who Killed The Electric Car? Actually, I can’t believe I haven’t seen it yet. My poor Netflix queue has been so neglected.

Wow. I almost felt sorry for Bob Lutz. It seemed like he booked because he wanted to reach the cool kids SO BAD. I’m glad the volt is finally gonna be out, but it’s obvious we still need to work on people’s attitudes towards electric cars (and other energy alternatives), both on the consumer and production levels.

Good call on Who Killed The Electric Car?, Lisa. Definitely worth a watch.

Also: euphemistic tosses are always good in my book.

Loooooved The Word. He even dropped a little TDS in there with “The Decider”.
I wish I could comment on the whole show, but I’m exhausted. Good night NFZers!

yeah, actually I started saying “hey that idea of the super Decider is SO Jon’s thing what are you doing??”

while I’m posting here: I can’t believe that guy and his global warming talk. it is really malicious and a huge problem for society to hear people denying facts so blatantly. politically induced scientific non-debates are really detestable.

Where’d he come up with that number of 32,000 scientists who don’t believe C02 emissions are harming the environment? I’m always curious how they come up with these numbers. Maybe these scientists all work for the auto companies?

well, he got the number right. just search 32000 scientists and you’ll get a slew of hits about these folks– they apparently signed a petition against the Kyoto Protocol.

Hmmm…Thanks tiger. Just wanted to stay open-minded. However, I can’t see how excessive gas emissions are actually GOOD for the environment. I guess the question would be the extent of its damage. Will research this further. Thanks!

On the upside? It made for another memorable nailing.

Sad to see Richard Garriott didn’t make it tonight. Hopefully tomorrow night. In fact, maybe he will come on tomorrow night and Stephen will argue that if his DNA (or imitation thereof) is worthy of going into space, then he is definitely worthy of an Emmy! I can’t believe that Stephen hasn’t brought up the Emmys this week! Something’s amiss….
