“A Colbert Christmas” – Details about the live viewings of the DVD

We’ve received some information that those of you who have (or are trying to get) tickets to the live screenings of Stephen Colbert’s “A Colbert Christmas” might need to know:

1) The six-month rule does not apply. So request away!

2) You will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. This means that we’re probably not going to publish much, if anything, about the actual content of the DVD (although I’m hoping to get some reports on the activities before and after the video during the screenings). My theory is that these are basically test screenings before the final edit, so what you see may not be on the DVD, and there might actually be three different versions tested out on audiences. This is my personal theory, and in no way official, so don’t hold me to anything.

3) There is a possibility that more tickets will be released, so keep your eyes peeled on ColbertNation.com for those!

Hope this helps those of you planning on going, or who missed the first round of tickets!

woohoo for more info! I SO wish I could attend a screening!!!

I figured that it would be the three different takes of the film, and be different from what ‘s on the DVD. *sigh* must move closer to NY!

i wonder if you can go to all 3 since the 6 month rule doesnt apply?

I for one had to cancel tickets for the 23rd because of a bus schedule mishap…wouldn’t be able to get back home fast enough the next day. anyway, hopefully a friendly zoner can benefit from this! :)

I tried to get a ticket four days ago and never got a confirmation email, but today when I saw that 9/17 had opened back up and tried again, it said that they had recorded the reservation from before, so… I dunno. Do you guys think I can safely assume I actually have one?

you should send them an email and check. I had a brief email correspondence with them about my now-canceled tickets because I wasn’t sure if I’d ever gotten them at first.

Thanks… do you have their email address? Sorry, I’m sure it’s around here somewhere, or on the site, but after a solid half-hour of searching, I got nothin’.

    OT but
    1. <3 the homosexy threatdown
    2. Why’d they clip off the end of the bit showing the greeting to Colbert from a ‘bear’? geez CC…

I got an e-mail reconfirming that this is a screening, not a taping, so though Stephen will be there, nothing’s being taped (unless they want an audience laugh track, I guess).

    OMG!!!!!!!!!

I have tickets for the wednesday taping, and can’t talk about that … but i went to tonight’s taping and can tell you that:

FIRST of all .. .stephen is donning NEW GLASSES, very similar to those of a dear someone who would be a heartbeat away from the presidency … he says he will wear them for a while and wait to get called on it …

ALSO there was a huge american flag covering the normal place where he does interviews. we did not get to see behind it at all in the audience … we asked what was back there and they said they couldn’t tell us. mysterious and kind of a bummer. then as we are all leaving, you have to exit through the holding room you enter though. upon exiting the holding room was FILLED with snowcovered christmas trees, snowmen, etc. the winter wonderland was in the holding cell, i assume waiting for us to leave. i got excited and asked one of the workers there “is this all for the christmas special?!?!?!” and their reply was “i can’t talk about that ….”

i guess after wednesday i can’t talk about it either. but tonight was a GREAT show and i am so excited for wednesday!

I have tickets to the 9/18 screening – can anyone tell me if this is right at the studio or if it’s at another location? Probably a dumb question, but wanna make sure…
