There were a lot of moments from this episode that I really liked. I thought The WORD was perfect, and I loved TDS Stephen Colbert, but my favorite moment came during the interview when Stephen said, “Good luck sucking at my teat”. All I could think about was the recent BKAD segment with the breast pump, and I couldn’t stop laughing.
I also loved that Stephen was claiming to be in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN. I can’t wait to see what the writers come up with this week.

yeah, same about thinking about the recent BKAD.
why would he even remark that he had never said that to a guest before!? he makes utterly absurd comments to guests all the time! plus, I didn’t really get the joke. where did nursing come into it? also, he seemed like he was trying for a joke when he introduced half-full/half-empty but he didn’t have anything.
to me it felt like an off day. maybe cuz last Friday was so awesome.

yeah i think he was trying to fit in that same joke he used at the correspondent’s dinner… a joke which he messed up the first time, so it was real risky trying to do it again :S, it didn’t work, oh well he tried.

i guess sometimes stephen’s bravery with going for the laugh gets the best of him and even he was surprised by what he said, but i thought it was just hilarious! i love when he tells a joke and then cant help but smirk at how absurd his character is sometimes lol

oooo and i just loved the “Daily Show Colbert” but it’s just too bad he didn’t use actual footage, that would have been crazy difficult to do, but it sure would have taken it to another level…

M(r)s. Tyson sure wore a lot of jewelry tonight. That’s the only thing I really paid attention to during the interview.
The highlight of the show had to be TDS Colbert/The Word.
Palin/Romney… that’s something different, alright.
Today was an okay episode. It wasn’t too outstanding. Just okay. Maybe I was too tired to fully appreciate tonight’s episode.
Well, off to an all-nighter! Outlines suck.

I was at the taping tonight. During the Q&A session, Stephen sang to me! Will send full taping report in a couple of days.

Are you the one who met Shruti from the Colboards in line? She said she had met a Zoner in the line for the show.
Can’t wait to hear your report! Sounds like an excellent Friday Free-for-all thread. :)

There was someone in front of me in line form the Colboards, but I didn’t catch her name? Isn’t Shruti the one who came from India to see the show? I saw a girl from India, but I didn’t get a chance to talk to her.

No, Shruti is from NYC. Oh, well, I guess we’ll never know. :)

oh, am very excited about this singing.
Stephen singing is one of the best things anywhere!
looking forward to the reporT.
(btw it’s cool to find other online fan…when I went to the show I was next to someone I had already “met” on the colboards…and compared to the number of people who see the show every year (many thousands) what are the odds? for us, anyway, it might have been a front-of-the-line thing.)

I had to go with The Word based on poignancy again… But “the teat” was over the top quick thinking on the fly – totally phat improv!

I really expected the last ticket to be Palin-BUSH. I didn’t know Colbert misses Romney enough to put him on a ticket. But still, FUNNY episode! Can’t wait for the running jokes to result from this first day of the RNC-themed week.

I loved the word – spot on as always – but there’s something about a good, old-fashioned green screen challenge that always has me lovin’ this show.
The audience participation is such a great part of the TCR spirit and I’m always ‘shocked and awed’ by the creative efforts of The Nation.

The Green Screen Challenge was good to see again, though it wasn’t as extravagent as last time. I loved the two entries of “Young Fankenstein” and “Office Space.” My favorite is still the one with him and Billo.
I loved TDS Stephen, and I agree with Jen that as difficult as it would be, using real footage would have been awesome. But it would take a while to find a clip that worked and to write a scene that wove with it.
Cindy McCain’s neck levees=hilARious!
