I really wish I could bid on this, but there’s No Way. It would have been cool if it had been a raffle, but…I imagine that would have been tougher to pull off. I do hope it goes in excess of $10,000. I don’t think that’s an unrealistic expectation.

I love Stephen for what he’s doing, but I always wonder how awkward these celebrity lunches end up being since it is a meeting between strangers. I also worry that the celebrity will end up with some off-the-wall character who just has a lot of money.
However, I’m sure Stephen is skilled at making anyone feel comfortable…when he’s out of character:)

Question is, could the Zoners collect enough from ourselves and other readers so that we would have a reasonable chance of making a winning bid? If we couldn’t, I suppose we could always present DB with a “gift” to show our appreciation.
Personally, I believe Stephen should simply invite DB to a fondue lunch, all expenses paid. :) She does this for love — and expects nothing except we behave ourselves and not gutterize NFZ. He better love her as much as we do! <333
