Episode 4108 – R.A.P.S. (Awesome!)

By Jenny with a Y on August 28th, 2008 ·

Wasn’t this episode hilarious? There were so many great moments; I had a hard time creating the poll. I had a long list of items I wanted to include. I especially liked the joke about Sasha Obama, the Repo man segment, the farewell to Stephanie Tubbs Jones, and Stephen’s insistence that he was broadcasting “live from Denver.”

Please feel free to discuss your thoughts about this episode in the comments. You may also wish to add a write-in vote for something not included in the poll.

I really liked the Mike Huckabee interview. It constantly amazes me how Mike Huckabee can just roll with any punches Stephen blows and end up looking funny and charming.

And I though the Tubbs tribute was sweet and tasteful. I’m glad they mentioned her passing – it is an amazing loss.

Yeah, my sentiments exactly.

I really liked the tribute to Judge Tubbs.

Though I have to admit, in the interview with her, Stephen REALLY reminded me of Raven from Wigfield, especially with the whole setting the couch on fire thing. I almost expected him to break out into the whole Raven monologue.

I am on the west coast and am only in the middle of the show right now BUT is this repo stuff true? Jeez I live in Vancouver Canada and we aren’t living the good life right now either but are Americans really in that much need of health care?

Yeah i knew it was really bad but geez. We are really lucky in Canada I have never paid for any medical service other that maybe 10 bucks for a a prescription. I always said I really want to move to the States but only if I can take my Canadian health care with me. Hopefuly things will change for the better down there.

I really loved the Mike Huckabee interview. Although I may not agree with his politics, he’s a very likable guy….though I was a little worried there when he began talking about vanilla! Haha. I’m afraid the guy just wasn’t thinking things through.

Also appreciated that they took the time to remember Judge Tubbs.

Loved the ski boots and watching Stephen run to the interview set wearing them. There were also a couple of good shots of the awkward way he had to arrange his feet during the interview.

Stephen’s fantastic and such a trooper. You can tell he’s sick as a dog, but he brings the same energy he always does. “The show must go on!”

Haha, yeah, I liked the ski boots and seeig him run to the interview table in them.

And I liked the Judge Tubbs tribute. lol at the name “Bramlet Abercrombie” and how difficult it was for her to say.

I was just waiting for them to do a salute to Judge Tubbs. I’m very glad he did. She was a wonderful woman, and that BKAD has to be my favorite one ever. I love the captions under the names when they pop up at the bottom of the screen.

I’m finding that I dislike Mike Huckabee much less when he’s not running for president. He’s a crazy politician, but he’s a good guy. I give him credit for playing along with everything Stephen throws at him. He seems to really enjoy himself on the show.

Yeah Mike Huckabee is a good guy. He means well. I just hope fox doesn’t poison him, and turn him into another one of those raving loons.

I seriously loved the Judge Tubbs thing… I LOVE seeing Stephen like that, in his element of improv and bizarreness.
