Episode 4106 – R.A.P.S. (Awesome!)

By Jenny with a Y on August 15th, 2008 ·

Well folks, I don’t know about you but I enjoyed every minute of tonight’s show. I will definitely watch this episode again once it is available online. How funny was the toss with Jon? It always makes me laugh when Stephen gets pouty about something.

Please feel free to discuss the high points of this episode in the comments. You may also wish to add a write-in vote for something not included in the poll.

Great Threatdown, or greatest Threatdown?

This was a hilarious episode.

I vote greatest! If I counted correctly, there were six threats tonight. They did the regular five and then the China one which had the Prescott Educational Film.

Greatest threatdown! I want to see more of Stephen as “Action.” And that whole story about the inflatable turd was just hilarious! Stephen really put his all into this segment tonight and I loved it when he began fanning himself with his notecards! The moment this segment was finished, I knew it was the best Threatdown I’d seen.

Greatest! His vibe seemed even more energetic than he usually is.

Is it just me or did that look like Michael Ian Black from far away in the Prescott film (as the USA Olympian)?
Yeah, when they did the close up, I was like… nooooo way that is definitely NOT him! Haha, me and my bad eyesight :P

The whole first act had me in total stitches the entire time. I had to go with the Threat Down though.

Loved the Jeopardy bit! And props to Stephen for getting a whole category! Too bad the contestants just don’t get the whole silent “T” concept.

BTW, the CC website schedule says the show will be back on Wednesday, August 27th. So, I’m confused… Are they off for a week or 2 weeks? *scratches head* PLEASE let it be only one. Lisa hates TCR withdrawal.

Yes, both TDS and TCR are reportedly broadcasting on a Tuesday-Friday schedule during the Democratic and Republican Conventions; the coverage of the conventions works out better that way.

Not sure how exactly that works out with the overseas rebroadcasts, but that’s the story here in the States.

That’s going to throw me off so much. It’ll take me like three weeks after that to be fully confident that I know what day it is.

Lisa, glad I’m not the only one who loved the Jeopardy bit! I was an academic bowl kid in high school, so I love Jeopardy, and the Alex’s-foreign-accent montage and Stephen saying Jeopardy in a Spanish accent had me on the floor.

once again laughing out loud…threatdown, hands down. no contest. that was spectacular.

i thought he nailed the guest pretty well, too though.
all the laughing and the character breakage…too good!

I voted for Jeopardy because of the laughs gained at the end of the bit when the thread pulled.

Still – beware of the giant poo!!

I was nearly in tears during the whole West Side Story bit. And I mean laughing tears, not emotional tears. He’s so good at the dance fighting. XD

Easy, Action!

I need to watch that movie again. I was engrossed with it in high school.

Crazy! Cool! Go!

Because of this episode, I ended up watching West Side Story again last night. Such a wonderful movie!

Tears (the happy kind) were streaming down my face by the end of the Threatdown – and that was my second viewing! So many silly moments, but drawing abs on his shirt front (mimicking the Spartan physique) was maybe my favorite of the night – so funny and unexpected.

Very funny show.

From paint-on abs, to the hysterical, finger-snapping chair dance. And finally, “*Surely* that’s not a fifty foot inflatable dog turd..?!?” LOL

he was way more out of character for the interview wasn’t he.. liked it though.. I loved the threatdown! gigantic infatable dog turds ftw

man, was that a full-frontal assault on alex trebek or what? trebek needs to come on the show or something.

also, i don’t see how one can say “Mr. Cookenboo” and keep a straight face. probably my favorite, although inflatable dog turds is a mighty strong contestant

Did you hear the slight gasp from the audience when number one on the threatdown was not BEARS!?? I think this was the first time Bears didn’t make the cut…
