Okay, this is one of those stories about Stephen and The Report that just makes me smile. I mean, how could I not? Stephen Colbert and WristSTRONG, gifts that keep on giving … and giving … and giving!

A Stephen Colbert fan gets a gift
I am a huge fan of Stephen Colbert. Even bought his book, went to a signing, went to a taping of his TV show last year. I love him! He’s brilliant. Gaspar and I watch The Colbert Report every night.

On his show, he wears a red Wrist Strong bracelet – long story, he broke his wrist on the show and thought there should be a cause to champion his condition, made the bracelet to raise “wrist awareness” – hilarity ensued. The idea when you wear one of Colbert’s bracelets is to give it to someone more famous than you if you get to meet them. Astronaut Garrett Reisman recently wore his into space. He did a live remote from space on The Colbert Report, showed his bracelet, spun it around it in anti-gravity and talked about the mission

. . .

Now what does this have to do with my awesome autographed photo? About a week after Garrett Reisman appeared on The Colbert Report I’m at work and receive a phone call …

I love both this story and the reason behind it (Stephen’s WristSTRONG excitement). Truly, there’s only one word for it: awwwwww!
