ByWe’ve been hearing those rumors that The Daily Show and The Colbert Report would team up for an Election Night special again, too, and now — although it’s not the focus of their post — TV Decoder (New York Times) confirms it for us:

. . .
Let the cries of “squee!” begin.

As far as I know, it’s the same as regular show tickets (that’s how they did it two years ago, anyway). So check the websites for each of the shows, but don’t be surprised if the tickets are unavailable. If they do this all at the Daily Show studio (the larger of the two), we’re talking about a capacity of only maybe 250 or so, if I recall correctly.

It would be great if they were in the same studio and had a big party. I’m praying for that. :P

Good question, and I don’t have an answer for you (unfortunately). If anyone out there knows, please do chime in.
Naturally, if we get any additional information from the stations, shows, etc., we’ll get it posted for you ASAP.

I got tickets for Sept. 2 with the assumption that tickets simply wouldn’t be available on election night. If they do become available, I’ll have to kick myself!

They were available a couple months ago. They were available for a week before they were all snatched up.

I’m frustrated that I missed that window of opportunity, but I guess I’m reassured that all those tickets are taken. How in the world could those tickets have been available for a week before being sold out?!

Yeah, I’m surprised they lasted as long as they did. All I know is that I got my ticket from the Daily Show the day after they election which should be interesting. :)

Wait a minute. Were these tickets that were available for a week on the TDS site or TCR site?
