Score one for the “extremist coddlers”

I was browsing CNN earlier today (and basically wanting to gouge my own eyes out over the state of the world), and I happened upon this little story, “Mandela off U.S. terrorism watch lists.” Oh my goodness!
I can only wonder about the mysterious timing of this announcement. Could it be that someone feared Stephen’s wrath when the news leaked about the government caving in to the “extremist coddlers” by removing former President Mandela’s name from the terrorism watch list?

Dammit, now how am I going to sleep tonight? That lunatic could come climbing through my window at any moment, advocating national reconciliation and waving his Nobel Peace Prize in my face. Damn you, State Department!

Just in time for his birthday! Nelson Mandela is having the Best Week Ever. It was a disgrace to have him on the list, and thank goodness someone decided to go ahead and take him off when it would have been much easier to leave him on.
