Klassic Kolbert – Episode 3025 (2/26/2007)
By
By request, we’re bringing back our Klassic Kolbert rerun posts. This allows those who are new to The Colbert Report or new to No Fact Zone to go back in time and remember some of the vintage Colbert moments that we may have missed the first time.
This episode has some seriously classic moments, such as a remembrance of the “Vilsack Attack!”, one of my very favorite graphics ever. I also love the “Speaking of British pull-outs” character break.

This was an excellent episode.
The “Vilsack Attack!” graphic was great. It’s too bad they could only use it for one episode. TCR has an amazing graphics department.
I loved the “Speaking of British pull-outs” character break.
The interview was interesting. I watched it several times. It was funny when Stephen said he liked that someone had said out loud that he had asked a good question because he usually just heard that in his head. I love it when he tells his guests not to patronize him. That always makes me laugh.

I loved the comment about Stephen thinking it’s a good question (in his head) as well. That whole interview was so great and I love it when the guests really appreciate his sense of humor. Sounds like a fascinating book.
As a side note, not sure Spitzer’s career skyrocketed as much as Stephen suggested. Haha.
DB, thank you so much for retrieving these priceless episodes for us TCR fans who are still trying to catch up!

I always love it when Stephen interviews folks that have something to do with religion. Those episodes never fail to entertain. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
