Halley’s Comet! A peek at “Tek Jansen” #4

By Ms Interpreted on June 24th, 2008 ·

Hey hey! I know some people were disappointed when follow up issues of Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen comic were delayed and delayed again (the second issue is due for release on July 2, according to Oni Press), but it definitely looks like there’s been progress on the remainder of the miniseries.

From SneakPeek.ca, here’s a look at the cover of issue number four (artwork not final):

Good lord! I really don’t believe any release date they put up at this point, because it seems like every week one comes due they just push it back. :(

I hope that background color is just a placeholder for a background. Or a different color. My eyes!

I still maintain that this version of Tek Jansen looks more like Al Franken than Stephen Colbert.

Howdy, folks!

The cover posted is the not the final cover. The colors will change significantly over the next few weeks.

Tek #1 has a fancy reprint that is in comic shops tomorrow and will be up on Amazon shortly.

Tek #2 will be in comic book shops next week amd Amazon in a couple more. :)

Tek #3 should be end of July (maybe 1st week in August depending on how things go at the printer and with distribution.)

Thanks for the info, Randal!

It’s great to hear that the long-awaited second issue has a firm release date and that plans are underway for the issues to follow.

Here’s hoping the later issues can copy issue #1’s Harvey-nominated ways …
