Klassic Kolbert – “C is for Chubby”

By DB on June 20th, 2008 ·

Tonight on The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert asked the Cookie Monster why he switched his dietary preference from cookies to fruit. But he already knows the answer. He reported on it over at The Daily Show.

I think I just woke up my neighbors, I was laughing so hard.

As soon as I saw Cookie Monster, I thought of the same Daily Show clip – one of my favorites.

I thought of this one too.

How great was the Cookie Monster appearance tonight?!

It made me all warm and fuzzy. (And I bet his kids got to watch tonight.)

As soon as he started talking about cookies, I thought of this. I wonder if any of the people interviewed in this interview lobbied for the change… and I was so waiting for “Gitmo” to pop out.

Same here! The first thing I thought when I saw Cookie Monster come out was, “OMG. EL-GIT-MO WAS JUST ON JON’S SHOW! NO WAAAAAY.” Then I smiled and giggled to myself like an idiot.

i was thinking of that too. with Elmo: Gitmo edition appearing on TDS and Cookie Monster appearing on TCR, the muppets are invading our fake news shows!

i can’t get over the cookie monster segments. he really needs to stick around because those were just too good.

This has always been my favorite Stephen Colbert TDS segment and it was the first thing I thought of when he started talking about the Cookie Monster. I LOVED the Cookie Monster’s visit to the Report last night! I hope he didn’t eat Stephen’s Peabody Award. haha!
