Congratulations to the minds behind “Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen”, which was nominated for a Harvey Award today!
The Harvey nominations and winners are chosen by comic creators themselves, so it’s gratifying to see that Stephen’s Mary Sue project was so enthusiastically embraced by this community. Kudos to all the folks from The Colbert Report and Oni Press who were involved in this issue.

BALTIMORE, MD (June 18, 2008) — The 2008 Harvey Awards Nominees have been announced with the release of the final ballot, presented by the Executive Committees of the Harvey Awards and the Baltimore Comic-Con. Named in honor of the late Harvey Kurtzman, one of the industry’s most innovative talents, the Harvey Awards recognize outstanding work in comics and sequential art.
