Here’s what I’ve found out so far about the Full Episodes of The Colbert Report now available on the revamped Colbert Report video site:
- The videos are available at the Colbert Report Full Episode Player
- The videos are slightly lower resolution than the embeddable videos but they are much larger than the the embeddable videos in their standard form. And there’s an option to full-screen the episode. FULL SCREEN FULL EPISODES OF THE COLBERT REPORT! WHOO!!
- While the full episodes are not embeddable, Comedy Central will continue to offer the segments as embeddable. We will continue to feature the embeddables on the site in our episode guides and in the sidebar, and we’ll also make sure to put links to the full episodes in the guides.
- This new player will only show the last four weeks, while the embeddable clips will always be live.
- The back catalogue is indeed being worked on …

I also noticed that they have full episodes of the Daily Show as well–which is great, because with those clips I was never able to get the screen size very large. YAY!

Hey, a heads up on another site. Hulu has added full episodes and a small handful of recent clips from TDS and TCR as well. Hop on over to Hulu.com to see!
Why is this important? Because all Hulu clips are embeddable!!! Can you say, workaround??!!
Oh, and for you facebook junkies, Hulu clips, when bookmarked using Facebook, can play inside Facebook, joining the short list of video sites (YouTube and CollegeHumor) that are capable of this feat.
I was always pretty annoyed that you couldn’t play Daily Show clips inside facebook because i’m OCD like that.

Which is great for everyone in the US – in Europe we can’t watch Hulu clips. I’m happy with the Comedy Central episodes right now!
