Ever work on a blog post for an hour only to have the computer eat it before you remember to save? *headdesk* Yeah. So as we wait for our final Klassic Kolbert rerun for the week (and let me tell you, tonight’s is delicious, on so many different levels), we present to you some of the Six Degrees news floating around the blogosphere today.
- JOHN OLIVER – John Oliver will be one of the featured performers during the Dave Hill Explosion, tonight at 9p at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade theater. You gotta go because Dave rocks, and John rocks, and it’s just going to rock. And, if you’re lucky, it might roll.
- ROB KUTNER – Our favorite author of Apocolypse How was interviewed yesterday by CBC Radio. And if you’re in Manhattan, you need to check him out this Saturday, May 24th at Bluestockings – 7:00 PM.
- MARVEL COMICS – In case you haven’t been following the presidential campaign of Stephen Colbert in the Marvel Comics universe, Marvel.com has compiled the entire campaign thus far on their website. It’s really exiting to see such a pop culture mainstay saluting Stephen Colbert in this way.
- STEVE CARELL – Steve Carell is going to be starring in a huge blockbuster movie this summer, “Get Smart”. And I know I’m really looking forward to the blitzkrieg of marketing for this move that I’m sure will include lots and lots of Steve goodness. The Cinematical blog has scored an interview with Steve (and his co-stare Anne Hathaway) and is offering readers a chance to ask a question. The interview will be published on June 16th. So head on over there and ask a question! (h/t Matt Tobey over at the CC Insider)
- JORDAN CARLOS – Jordan “Stephen’s Black Friend, Alan” Carlos stars in a new video called “Incognegro”. Watch the vid, then go over to the Comedy.com site to “LOL it”!
The fact that they still have him in the presidential race in the Marvel Universe is making me have such a geek-out. I especially like the headlines on the Indecision 2008 website. Things like “Fantastic Four incident Drives Older Voters To Colbert” and “Stephen Colbert and Tony Stark at Iron Man Premier”.
I’m such a nerd… but it’s so much fun!
Thanks for posting all of these!

This is kind of a Six Degrees thing, but at the same time not… anyway:
The Love Guru ad played during one of the commercial breaks for American Idol last night… and it definitely had a Colbert and John Oliver clip in it. This movie will be awesome. Someone should definitely find the ad on the internets somewhere and post it (’cause I definitely can’t find it anywhere).

I don’t know if this is the same clip you saw, but Stephen is briefly in this one: http://www.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?catid=3&id=16368

Hmmm…I wonder if this means there won’t be a new show that night, since he’s speaking on a Monday.
