Okay, I’m going to come clean right up front with why I picked this episode. The aqua shirt and tie in this episode is the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen this man wear. I mean, just delish. This was one of the first guides I did, and man does having a Tivo make a differerence! One of my fave lines that didn’t make the original Episode Guide is “King Saint, not bad. A multiple honorific. That inspired my dream of some time being called President Dr. Deputy Secretary Generalissimo Stephen Esquire PhD. My stationery bills are murder.”

I have to agree with Jenny- That screencap actually made me say “Aww” at my computer.
I love the donut math. I just realized he has got to be the only talk show host that eats on camera as often as he does. Lol.

The more you watch Stephen, the more you realize how much he eats on camera, and not just on TCR.
In fact, I bet we could make a really great list of clips with memorable feats of Colbert eating: grits, pizza (w/Jon), ice cream 3-way, McD burger, Entemann’s, Doritos, fried foods, fudge bar and cheesecake (SWC), and of course, the banana. Help me out nation! I know there’s more.

He ate cookies on TDS in the “C is for Chubby” segment and he ate Pork LoMein on TCR during the strike.
DB, I loved the way he ate that brownie on SWC. Actually, I love watching him eat on camera. He eats with such relish (unless he’s eating those spicy sweet Doritos that he doesn’t seem to like).

There was something about the Hungarian segment that kept throwing me off a bit. Then I realized, this was the first big act of the Colbert Nation, and you almost see this realization of the power he has over his viewers dawning on him as he just seems genuinely amused that they voted in numbers almost twice the population of a country that doesnt know him to name a bridge after him. I find it really cute, and though I wasn’t yet a big fan at the time I’m glad the Nation rallied round to prove just how far their devotion goes :)

I was so proud because that bridge thing was when I first started watching and was becoming a Nation member. Good timing, I guess. I can prety much recite that entire segment where he gets out his laptop and gives us instructions on how to vote.
This may not count as eating, but he had that awesome Christmas segment where he just talked about how much he loves egg nog. “I put in everything: coffee, cereal, soup…delicious!!”
