Dave Barry is one of my favorites too. I particularly like how he describes how his family has a large “main” dog and a small “auxilliary” dog.

He’s a well-liked author, and a great face for atheism. Too bad he isn’t more public and proactive about it. It might help dispel some of the stigma.

Dave Barry?!?! Really?

His “Dave Barry Slept Here: A Sort of History of The United States” is one of my favorite books ever. Not to mention the fact that it got me in trouble by making me burst into fits of laughter several times when I was reading it instead of paying attention in AP European History class in high school…. I mean… huh? :) At least it was still (sort of) history that I was reading, right?

im excited about mitch albom and father james martin.

always fun to see how much stephen’s catholic side comes out, and fr. martin was a nice guest too.

i dont really know what made mitch albom become so obsessed with hypothetical near-death/ after-death scenarios, but “The Five People You Meet In Heaven” was a very interesting read, so i look forward to his interview.
