Jon Stewart, star of Comedy Central’s Daily Show, occasional star of the Oscars awards show, is coming to lil’ ol’ Nashville.
Promoters apparently have been trying to get him to come here for years.
Looks like the price was finally right.
And that means it’s gonna cost you a little bit of scratch. Tickets will be $76, $66 and $56, and they go on sale at 10 a.m. April 11.
The shows start at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., so you’ll have to TiVO the Daily Show if you go to the late show.
Jon’s show hasn’t changed much over the years, so far as we know, but if you haven’t seen him do standup before, it’s definitely worth it.
In other news:
- I don’t know whether you’ve heard, but NBC is looking to do a spin-off of The Office. TV Jab thinks the best leads for this spin-off would be Ed Helms and John Hodgman. Sounds good to me!
- Speaking of John Hodgman, it’s worth mentioning that his appearance in the trailer for Tina Fey’s upcoming Baby Mama made me smile way too much.
- John Oliver is going to be at Ochi’s Lounge (Comix) tomorrow night as the “Drink at Work” headliner.
- John Oliver will also be on Late Night with Conan O’Brien tomorrow night (so, technically, that’s Wednesday, for those of you who want to record it).
- XM Satellite Radio is running a promo for free tickets to see Lewis Black and Janeane Garofalo on April 10th in Manhattan. Check out additional details here.

I heard about the spinoff and was SOOO excited!! I know John Hodgman would be perfect in a show like that, but I would dearly miss the Mac/PC commercials.
I can only imagine how funny Lew and Janeane would be in such an intimate and unrestricted (b/c it’s XM) setting. I wish I could make it to the city for it, but it ain’t in the cards. But, if anyone gets to go, let us know how it went!!
Thanks for all the updates!
