THE GAME:
32 videos from “The Colbert Report”. One winner – tournament style. Today we’re working on building the bracket, and we start voting on Tuesday. We’ll vote on NFZ throughout the week on the vids, single elimination. By Friday, we’ll be at the Final Four, and we’ll have our tournament winner on Sunday.
We’re working on setting up an online site so you can fill out your own bracket and play along!
HELP US FIND VIDEOS FOR THE GAME:
We’ve got some ideas for videos to feature during the tournament, but we want to hear from YOU! Put links to vids (TCR official site if at all possible) in the comments, and we’ll go through them as we build our tournament brackets today. I’d highly recommend perusing the Colbert University video archive to find videos as they have a ton of the official links to the vids.
Also, if you find an old Episode Guide with a vid, but the video is one of the old Motherload videos and it doesn’t work, take note of the video number and add it to this code:
http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport/videos.jhtml?videoId=[PUT NUMBER HERE]
There’s one or two videos that we really want in the game but the official version isn’t working (“Charlene (I’m Right Behind You)” – Video 59061, being the key one that I want), so if you can find an alternate version, that would be fantastic.
All the clips that have ever been on Motherload (including Charlene) can be found here:
http://www.comedycentral.com/sitewide/media_player/browseresults.jhtml?showId=18252

Wait, Michelle, your link doesn’t work! It shows you a list of all the clips, but when you click on one, it doesn’t go to it. It goes to the motherload most recent clips. Right now they all lead to a clip of Futurama.
Hmm… there’s got to be a way to get all of them…

Take the NUMBER, then take the link above and add the number to the video.
So if you want to see, say, Cheating Death with Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, DFA, you take the number to the vid and make it look like this:

I have one, but the TCR site didn’t want to play it for me. It’s titled “Oprah and Gayle” and it’s when Stephen declares that he and Tad the building manager are “not gay”. It’s a laugh for all the SWC fans. I couldn’t find it on any other site either.

2. Stephen opens a beer and drinks some of it while again sitting under his desk. He ends up spilling the bottle of beer on the floor.

Happy Easter everyone. I love the bunny on the TV too. Cute. Now I’ll go watch my Strangers with Candy movie that I got for Easter for the third time. The local Mammoth Video store is closing their doors. They are selling all of the movies and my Mom and I grabbed the only copy of the movie they had for an Easter present. I had been wanting that for Christmas, but since the strike happened I did not want anyone to buy me DVDs. So I had to do without until now. I watched it two and a half times yesterday.

The fangirl in me has to comment- he doesn’t look half bad in that Hungarian jacket! lol. :)
Also, it said something about the bridge being done in 2008, so I wonder if he’ll do a segment or something there, if he is to be at the bridge christening… or whatever it is that you do to bridges when they officially open. It would be cool if they did a show from Hungary, but that would be too much hassle for everyone involved.
