ByYay! Hero dtrainpdx ripped the glorious John Legend-Stephen Colbert duet to mp3. I’m not sure for how long the file will be available to download, but at present you can get it here:

I can’t stop playing this!!!! (And I don’t want to.)
With apologies to those who are, like me, fixated on this duet – On a mostly tangential note, I just noticed the guest list for this week. Wow! Every night is gonna be ripe for Stephen to perform some major nailage. Big props to the guest-booker, and the researchers who prepare Stephen so well. Bring it!

The duet with John Legend has officially become my favourite Stephen Duet. The song is great, and the interpretation superb. And dtrainpdx is indeed a Hero. Thank you!

Stephen keeps surprising me, and that’s saying a lot — I’m 42 and don’t surprise easily.
I’m a *big* McCartney fan…thanks for the joy, SC.
Also, if anyone can find video online of Dana Carvey as Paul McCartney, *please* let me know… it’s also a joyful thing.

Thanks for making this available..
And I was wondering if anyone knows where I could see the original *video* of the duet, with Jackson and McCartney.
I’ve tried youtube, and a few other places via google, and … audio only, so far…

@ Olivia
I wonder if he’ll reference the time when Stephen put Jon on notice for not apologizing to him. More than likely, though, I bet Geraldo will just shout at him, and Stephen will spend much of the interview giving “WTF?” looks to the camera.

@ Lee Quick
searched YouTube and found this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XDrIeCvLe0
it also features Stephen as a kinda scary George…
@ looped linear
i don’t know if there was a video for The Girl Is Mine, Macca does however sport the same outfit (and an inverted version of it) in the Ebony/Ivory-video w/ Stevie Wonder…his hanging w/ his “black friends” clothes?
oh and thank you dtrainpdx for the mp3 and NFZ for being awsome!

@magdalena
Thanks for the video. It was a great find. Did you notice the person who put that up on youtube spelled it “Steven Colbert?” I wish people would spell his name correctly.

The John Legend and Stephen Colbert duet was great. They even harmonized!
Anyone notice the latest changes on the Colbert Report video site? They seem to have added Search, and they’ve indexed the videos (I tested a few keywords for some way-back-when videos), but none of them are available for viewing yet.

@ mrtigger001,
Yes, I had noticed the same thing. There was a little note to all the fans about the shiny new site as well:
We hope you like the updated Colbert Report site in all its bold, red glory.
Among the key improvements we’ve made are higher-quality, faster-loading videos; simpler navigation to recent episodes; plus better information on past and upcoming guests. And we’re not done yet. We’ll continue to expand the archive, eventually bringing in clips from every Colbert Report episode back to the very first — fully tagged, fully searchable and awaiting your comments and ratings. We’ll upgrade the message boards, too, and make a host of other improvements. Bear with us while we continue to build out our infrastructure to give the Nation the site it deserves.
And, to boot, there were some videos that even though were linked via a Motherload link, the video loaded and played on the new site, without any buffering or crashing problems I might add. Way to go Comedy Central! I’m really looking forward to the site when it’s all loaded and ready to go!
