Guest alert: Robert S. Bennett and Madeleine Albright on tonight’s ‘Colbert Report’

From Edmund’s Saltmines:

Media News

*Tonight on the Colbert Report: Robert S. Bennett, author of In the Ring: The Trials of a Washington Lawyer (Crown, $32, 9780307394439). Also on Colbert, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will discuss her book Memo to the President Elect: How We Can Restore America’s Reputation and Leadership (HarperCollins, $28.95, 9780061351808)

. . .

I don’t know too much about Bennett yet, but I’ve enjoyed former Secretary Albright’s previous appearances (on May 11, 2006 and March 27, 2007). I wonder whether Stephen will harass her for riding his coattails; Madam Albright was recently named as this year’s Knox College commencement speaker (hat tip to Jennie for the Knox College connection).

UPDATE: According to the official website, Henry Louis Gates, Jr. will be on tonight’s Colbert Report (that information had not yet been posted when I initially blogged this). Thanks for the heads up, magdalena!

According to the official report site Henry Louis Gates, Jr., editor of The Root, will be the guest tonight. But I kinda trust NFZ more than CC :)

Oh and yes, madam Albright and Stephen have great chemistry so it’ll be fun whenever it is she comes on.

    Thanks, magdalena.

While we’re flattered that you trust us so highly, the official site is more authoritative where this sort of news is concerned. :)

I’ve posted an update both here and in a new post; thanks again for the tip!
