Not surprisingly, readers here and elsewhere on “the internets” have expressed sadness at the news that “Bobby” (Eric Drysdale) has left his job as a writer for The Colbert Report. I think I may have figured out what the next “interesting project brewing” for Eric will be: his own show on Comedy Central, called “Bobby The Stage Manager” (“BTSM” for short). A spin-off of “The Colbert Report” just as that show was spun off of “The Daily Show.” It will air at 12:00 a.m. and nobody will be able to get up for work or school ever again.

I didn’t know that he had been a TDS correspondent either. From what I saw on his web site, it looks like he only did the one story. I searched for him on TDS web site and didn’t find anything other than the clip provided by MS Interpreted.
