Someone over at Late Night with Conan O’Brien got his panties in a twist after seeing Tuesday’s episode of The Colbert Report, when Jon Stewart presented his own evidence for having “made” Conan. From NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien blog:

Now, as I’m sure many of you are aware, Stephen Colbert trashed us AGAIN on his show the other night regarding the whole “Who Made Huckabee” thing. Now, for those of you who didn’t see it, I should point out that Stephen CLEARLY KNEW that he had gotten in over his head with us. He knew that he had bitten off more than his small, smartass jaw could chew. He knew that he was going to lose this feud. So what did he do? He called in his ol’ pal Jon “The Daily Show” Stewart (he actually officially changed his middle name so people would call him that), and BOTH STEPHEN AND JON PROCEEDED TO DOUBLE TEAM CONAN.

You can be sure that Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart’s VICIOUS ATTACK on The Rooster will not go unanswered… Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next week or the week after… But we do not forget such things. Okay… I usually don’t chime in on things like this but geesh! Get a life! This is all a joke. Admittedly a very large and 500lb Gorrilla-ish joke but a joke all the same. Even Stewart said it was a “way to waste time”. We need the writers back! That’s the bottom line.

@lots of people: The blogger, Aaron (if you watched the episode Monday, he was featured in a segment…he’s a researcher on the show, so he’s probably part in the planning of this ‘feud’…he also stated in an earlier post on from the episode where Conan dons a beret and mocks Colbert, that this thing is just getting started, so he might be privy as to where this is going) is in on the joke… he’s usually pretty tongue-in-cheek about this kind of stuff and snarky to commenters…
So remember, it IS A JOKE… I’ve seen too many people get angry about this…
