JOY!! I get my Afternoon Delight back!!

So today I decided I need a break from work – it’s been a long day, and I brought some low-fat cottage cheese for just such an afternoon occasion. I realize it’s 3:15p CST, and think, oh yeah, “The Colbert Report” is on in 15 minutes, I can watch part of the rerun during my afternoon break.
I was seriously irked when, a few months ago, Comedy Central programming changed the TCR rerun showtime in the afternoon from 1:30p CST to 3:30p CST. I normally have to get to work pretty early, so it’s much more convenient for me to go to bed early, get up early (and blog for an hour or so), then go to work and watch the show during my lunch half-hour. Me and a bunch of guys from work would watch the show every day in our company breakroom – 42″ of television glory – and it was something to look forward to every day, to be quite honest. When they switched the regular rerun time from 1:30p to 3:30p, it threw my whole schedule off for weeks. What was I supposed to do during lunch now?!
When I got to the break room and flipped on Comedy Central today, and saw “Mad TV” (Editors Note: Ew!), I ran back to my work computer to check out the CC schedule. And to my delighted suprise, I saw that Comedy Central had moved the show BACK to 1:30p CST! Huzzah! My lunch half-hour is complete again!
*happy dance*
In celebration of all being (almost) right in my Colbert watching universe again (stupid strike), I thought we needed something to dial the happiness meter up to 11. So here you go, kids.

I’m so happy for you DB! Having a jolt of Colbert at lunchtime would be awesome.
Before the strike, I used to watch the new TCR clips on Comedy Central’s web site while I ate breakfast. That would keep me going until I could watch the show at 8:30 pm. It was difficult to adjust to the fact that I couldn’t do that during the strike.
Thankfully NFZ has been there for me…

Yey, DB! Maybe my next job will have a lunchroom TV too. *fingers crossed* That has got to be the best way to spend lunchtime, hands down. Hopefully, it’ll alleviate some of your strike-stress.
And, may I say, this photo is milliseconds away from turning the tide on the family friendliness of your Blog. Must restrain myself… Can we say eye candy? I think we can…
(I’ve always wondered, did this photo appear in a magazine, or was it just a promo photo shoot of some sort? I’ve been trying to figure that out for months…)

I just noticed that (I think) he’s wearing the shoes that I snapped a photo of in his office for Jacob.
I had no idea J got a photo of historical shoes.
Though I don’t think I will show him this photo until he’s a bit older. :P

Thanks for the links and the info! LOVED watching the photo shoot videos too. I love it how the three of them just can’t sit still and have such a good time together — made me smile big smile. : )

Congratulations! That happened to me a while back when they changed the showing time in the morning, and I couldn’t watch it in the morning anymore. Till I got Tivo! WOO!
