DocShop.com votes Stephen Colbert’s smile one of the best of 2007

I’ll admit it, I just wanted to post a photo of Stephen smiling. Others on the list include LeBron James, America Ferrera, Justin Timberlake, and George Clooney.

The Top 10 Celebrity Smiles of 2007
DocShop.com

Despite being labeled as the egomaniacal, suspiciously socially active, pantyless-yet-riveting crème de la crème of popular culture, superstars have mastered the art of smiling for the camera. Award night after award night, they grin for the public’s ever-doting gaze.

Even in 2007 – possibly the wackiest year of entertainment news headlines since celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was in diapers – some famous smiles are worth noting. Sure, there’s a good chance some of these stars have had porcelain veneers applied and a better chance that they’ve undergone teeth whitening, but who’s really keeping track? Ten celebrities in particular exhibited engaging and noteworthy smiles, and each for good reason.

10. Stephen Colbert

Wide, open smiles tend to distract from other facial features (I’m looking at you, Julia Roberts). Stephen’s, however, actually accentuates his incredibly expressive eyes… of Truthiness.

Why He’s Smiling: A best-selling book, his own Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor, Air Colbert, running in a primary as a Democrat and a Republican – after all those accomplishments, why not?

Awwww, I love Stephen’s smile. Thanks for that, Kinaesthesia. There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe how much I’ve missed that smile the past two months. My soul would wither and die without that smile.

They’re absolutely right about his smile accentuating his eyes. I have a soft spot for expressive eyes, and his are glorious. They are incredibly expressive (and I swear I wrote that without realising I was quoting). When he smiles fully, he does so with his eyes too – they glow, and I love it :)

What a cute item; thanks, Kina! It’s a great, un-self-conscious and fully engaging smile; an excellent choice.

Here’s a link to Boston.com which is running a list of local celebs and what they’re “over” in 2007. Guess what TCR’s own Ben Karlin is over? The digital revolution (and ad revenue from said revolution).

Just thought I’d give you a heads up seeing as we’re all starved for pretty much anything even remotely related to the show, lol.

As for the smile? I’d say it’s the best.smile.EVER! Makes me melt..

From a cuteness of smile standpoint, the absolute cutest is the YouTube of Stephen and Paul Dinello doing “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”. I’m at a location where I can’t post a link to it, but perhaps someone else can. His smile is unbelievably fabulous and sexy.

Thanks for the link, entropy. It’s good to see Ben Karlin. And he hasn’t lost his touch – Pepsi and Darwin? Nicely done.

Ahh, yes. It’s all in the eyes. His smile makes me smile, every time — and, to experience it in person was a moment I’ll always remember. Great post — thanks for the smile. : )
